We spent a few days at camp in Wilsons Mills, Maine. My family had a great time along with my parents and brother, Bryan. We really missed my other siblings who weren't able to make it. Maybe next year. Some of the activities included, hiking, walking, biking, swimming, boating, tubing, canoeing, reading, and of course playing games.

Maine State Museum
We spent the day at the Maine State Museum with my brother Dan and our soon-to-be cousin Juliette. It was an impressive museum. They had a lot of interesting displays and it costs only $2 for adults and $1 for kids over six. I would like to go sometime without kids so I can learn more about Maine's history. So if you are looking for something to do in the Augusta area I would recommend this.
The kids had fun tooting the antique car horn.
These moose were found dead in the woods of Maine with their antlers locked.

The 4th of July
For the 4th we spent the day with my parents and brothers. We went to the lake in Winthrop. My dad actually got his boat running for the first time. We had a great time playing in the water and tubing. That evening we took the boys to the fireworks for the first time. They were really nervous. Before the show Carson kept saying "I don't want to do this." Their faces were priceless during the fireworks. I feel so blessed to live in this country and in the beautiful state of Maine. Here are a few pictures of the day.

Swimming Lessons
For the past two weeks we have been up at the crack of dawn, hurrying out the door at 7:20 so the kids could be at swim lessons on time. They have their lesson at 8am. I haven't been late one day. Are you impressed? Rich came with me yesterday and said "how do you do this by yourself?"
Their swim lessons are at the Bowdoin College heated indoor pool pictured above. We've come a long way since I had swim lessons. My brother and I walked across the street to the lake at 7:30am and were forced to do bobs to warm up. It was freezing! Carson is so skinny that he was shivering in the pool and couldn't stay in for the whole lesson. So I broke down and bought him a children's wet suit (that costs more than the lesson). Nathan is wearing a wave suit that is for swimming and a protection from the sun. The wet suit sure is cute but it is a little ridiculous considering what I went through as a child.
