About Us

I have been husband tagged. Here is a little bit of trivia about us.

What is his name? Richard Jensen Taylor

How long have you been married? 10 years in July.

How long did you date? 1 year and 6 months.

How old is he? 32

Who eats more sweets? I do. He craves salt, not sweets. Sometimes it's annoying, but he keeps me in line. I don't like to eat ice cream by myself.

Who said I love you first? He did. I was quick to follow.

Who is taller? He is 6 feet and I am 5'4.

Who can sing better? I think Rich sings better. He is passonate about music, especially country. He loves to sing in the car and I like to talk. I am always turning the music down.

Who is smarter? Rich is smarter. Things just come easy for him. I had to work so hard in school. But I am proud to say that I have a bachelor's degree. I am glad that our oldest son has inherited Rich's brain. We'll see about the others when they are in school.

Who does the laundry? I do. I hate it when he helps with this chore because he doesn't separate the whites from the darks. Ugh!

Who pays the bills? I do.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me

Who mows the lawn? I mow most of the time because I like to. It is nice to have something to do while the kids are playing outside. Rich likes to mow also.

Who cooks dinner? I cook. Rich is willing to help, but he usually isn't home in time.

Who is more stubborn? I don't think we are stubborn at all. Maybe that's why we don't fight much.

Who kissed who first? Rich kissed me first. We had been dating a while but I wasn't sure where I wanted things to go. After several dates, I couldn't avoid it any longer. We took the four wheelers up on the butte at night. On the way up I realized that there was nowhere for me to run. Just kidding. It was really a beautiful moment.

Who proposed? He did. He bought a huge bag of jelly bellies. The ring was in the bag. I wasn't expecting it. I couldn't figure out why he wanted me to keep eating the jelly beans.

Who has more siblings? He does. There are 8 in his family and 5 in mine.

Who wears the pants? I guess I do. Especially when it comes to the kids. When dad tells them they can do something, they want to get my permission before they go ahead. Rich stands there and says "what am I, chopped suey?"

Rolling Over

Jack is rolling over now. We prop his elbows up and before you know it, he tips over. He seems surprised that he has a different viewpoint. Maybe he is rolling over a little early because he is so skinny. I took Jack to the doctor for his four month visit. He has only gained a pound in two months and is in the 19th percentile. I guess I need to squeeze in another feeding. Jack may not be fat but he sure is happy.

Basketball Star

Nathan just finished his first grade basketball season. He becomes obsessed with whatever sport he is playing at the time. He is pretty good at basketball. As you can see, he can dribble without looking! He certainly doesn't get that from mom.
